Does the Axcel Landslyde fit a Bear Alaskan XT?
Needs a Picatinny base. The Alaskan XT mounts the sight on a Hoyt In-Line Picatinny rail, so the Axcel Landslyde dovetail bar will not clamp to it. Add a Picatinny base or use the Axcel Landslyde in a Picatinny mount if one is offered.
Bow sight mount
Picatinny sight rail (MIL-STD-1913), the Hoyt In-Line family
Sight
Axcel Landslyde, a Bridge-Lock-capable dovetail sight
Whether the Axcel Landslyde fits the Alaskan XT comes down to its Picatinny In-Line sight mount.
The two ends
| Bow sight mount | Picatinny sight rail (MIL-STD-1913), the Hoyt In-Line family |
|---|---|
| Sight | Axcel Landslyde, a Bridge-Lock-capable dovetail sight |
| What to order | A Picatinny base for the Axcel Landslyde, or a Picatinny-mount version |
| Trap | a Bridge-Lock dovetail bar is a different interface from a Picatinny rail |
The Bear Alaskan XT sight mount is a Picatinny In-Line interface, so whether the Axcel Landslyde fits depends on the mounting bar, not the sight head.
The Axcel Landslyde is a dovetail sight offered in a Bridge-Lock version, which is why it drops into a Mathews slot but needs a base change for a Picatinny rail and cannot use a Center Mass slot.
