through-riser dovetail
Mathews Bridge-Lock sight mount
A slot through the Mathews riser that a dovetail sight bar passes through, removing the external mounting bracket.
How it mounts
| Mount type | dovetail sight bar passed through a slot in the riser |
|---|---|
| Bar length used | 4-inch dovetail base is the common Bridge-Lock length |
| Fixing | Bridge-Lock set screw clamps the bar in the riser slot |
| Bows with it | Mathews V3X, Phase4, LIFT, ARC, TITLE series |
| Known non-fit | Montana Black Gold (MBG) dovetails do not fit the cutout |
Bridge-Lock passes a dovetail sight bar straight through the riser rather than clamping it to a bracket on the side. That moves the sight mass inline with the riser to improve balance and cut vibration.
Most 4-inch dovetail bars from HHA, Black Gold, CBE and Axcel drop into the cutout, but not every dovetail is the right cross-section, so a sight has to be sold or specified as a Bridge-Lock dovetail. Montana Black Gold dovetails are the known exception that does not fit.
